Commissioning needs you!

Help Scouting, help your community and refill your giving cup.

Join the Commissioner Corps!

You already give a lot of yourself to Scouting and the development of your son or daughter. But, when your child has moved on, or when you are involved with a group filled with quality leaders you may need to find other opportunities to give back. Here then is an opportunity to give something back to your community, your neighborhood and to yourself.

Every year, The Shawnee Trails District will be recruiting volunteers to serve as part of our District Commissioner Corps. We are in need of people who know how to have fun, people who know how to listen and people who care about the development and advancement of young Scouters to become tomorrow’s leaders.

We are asking for a commitment of one hour per week. We will provide all the training and support you will ever need.

What’s in it for you? A chance to participate in one of the oldest and most respected service corps in the Scouting movement, the opportunity to meet and help really good people who care about the future of of our youth and the chance to make Scouting stronger which leads to better communities. All for an hour a week? Sign me up!

If you are interested in being a part of this movement please reach out to any of our Scouting professional staff members or a volunteer and we will discuss all the details with you. Or, feel free to send us a note with the form below. Our volunteer District Commissioner will get right back to you.

In the meantime, here’s a link which will help you understand a little more about what is involved with being a commissioner.
